At a Fastlove event, you'll have the opportunity to talk to and meet up to 25 dates in one event. Each date lasts at least three minutes, giving you just enough time to get a glimpse into the person's personality and see if there's any chemistry.

Speed dating is the contemporary equivalent of personals ads and dating agencies, with many advantages! Speed dating is what all those old paradigms from the '80s and '90s evolved into and has now established itself as the dating event standard right across the globe.

And romance might not be the only thing you find! Many friendships and other connections are borne from our events; it's a great social event where everyone just happens to be single and open to making new relationships - whatever that might lead to.

Come along with an open mind, see what happens and put any doubts about booking your first event behind you; the common concern from 90% of first-time speed daters is the worry of coming alone and/or nerves - that's normal and pretty much everyone feels the same, but once you get started you'll realise that everyone's in a similar situation and the nerves will melt away. So... now we've let you in on this little secret, do you feel more at ease?

FAQ

When you arrive you will be given a scorecard, a nametag and a pen, and the Fastlove compere will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions. Then the dating begins! You will rotate every 3-5 minutes when the whistle blows and after each date participants mark on a scorecard whether they would like to see that person again. After the event we will collect your 'yes' ticks and you will then be sent matches via email within 48 hours.
Including breaks the event may last up to three hours depending on the number of participants. Many speed daters stay for a few drinks after the event too.
It can be anything up to twenty dates depending on the size of the venue – anything more than this just leads to confusion and further indecision, as well as being quite tiring.
No-one's expecting you to make a lifelong commitment on the basis of a speed date! Three minutes is long enough to decide whether or not you like someone enough to want to see them again, and ensures that embarrassing silences are kept to a minimum.
We will inform you of any matches by email within 48 hours of the event. You will receive the contact details of all of the people that have ticked you on the night.
Most speed daters are professionals who want to meet more people. They're generally normal, attractive people who just aren't meeting people through their work or immediate circle of friends.
The other speed daters should be within the age groups specified.
Approximately 30 percent of women and 60 percent of men come speed dating on their own.
You are very welcome to bring friends and many speed daters do.
You can go to as many as you like. Most people at each event will be new to speed dating so it will give you more chance to meet the right person.

You just need to be single and 21+ years old.
We charge your debit or credit card when you book a speed dating event.
For alternative methods of payment please call us on 07931 300 555. Please do not send cheques or postal orders as we no longer accept them.
We are not normally able to offer refunds but will move you to a different Fastlove Speed Dating event provided you contact us at least three working days before the event. If you give us less than three days notice we will still do our best to move you to another event. If we are able to move you to an alternative event, you will be charged an additional £5 handling fee.
